What this extension does

RoastMyPR is a Chrome extension that reads a GitHub pull request you already have open, sends the diff to our API, and shows you roast comments and GIF reactions you can insert yourself. We never post on GitHub for you.

What we collect

• PR content you roast — title, description, and diff — sent to our API so Claude can write the joke and Jev can score it. We do not store the full diff after the roast is generated.
• Google account if you sign in: name, email, and profile photo. Used to create your RoastMyPR account and API key.
• Preferences — roast personality, default roast level, GIF on/off.
• Usage stats — roast counts, GIF inserts, and coarse event names (for exampleroast_generated). No advertising profiles.
• Optional feedback you type in the extension.

Who sees it

Roasts are generated by Anthropic (Claude). Quality scoring uses TypeSafe Jev. GIF search uses Giphy. The API and database run on Railway. We do not sell your data. We do not use it for ads.

Permissions

• github.com — find the PR, read the diff, insert a comment you chose
• identity — Google sign-in
• storage — keep your session and prefs on this device
• scripting / activeTab — show the Roast panel on the current PR tab

Your choices

Sign out from the extension popup or options page. To delete your account and stored prefs, email hello@roastmypr.xyz. Uninstalling the extension removes local storage on that browser.
